NAME: Cameo
CONTACT: Discord if we're already in a server or you can PM for my username (I don't want spambots scraping it), or Plurk at cameoappearance
ACTIVE TIMES/PACE: My circadian rhythm is like a microwave set to Chaos Defrost, but I'm on UTC-8 and I'm most consistently available between 6 pm and 6 am local time.
BRACKETS/PROSE: I prefer prose and will start with that, but I'll do either. If the starter's in brackets I'll do brackets.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Warn for child abuse and dental or eye gore, and beyond that just, like, don't be transphobic, don't be a rude asshole, etc.

IN CHARACTER

PRONOUNS: It/its

PHYSICAL AFFECTION: It LOVES physical affection. And it has no sense of personal space.

PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: It's not against it.

RELATIONSHIPS: It does not particularly understand what makes friendship different from romance, although its idea of what a friendship is is about as intense anyhow. It doesn't understand exclusivity either. It would kiss the homies on the lips if it had any.

PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: Some of the host body's memories, preferences, and mannerisms carried over during the infestation process, but the host's mind is no longer present and the mask, which is alive and sapient in its own right albeit quite inhuman in its thought processes, is running the show. Jerry has no psychic powers of its own, but it's worth a mention that there are other lineages of its kind (the masks, that is) that can form telepathic links both with each other and as part of the process of preying on humans.

MAGICAL INFORMATION: I like to leave it ambiguous whether the masks are fully biological entities in at least a soft-science-fiction sort of way (they're a bit improbable, biologically) or if they have something supernatural going on. It has no particular magical training or talents otherwise.

MEDICAL INFORMATION: Jerry is a walking corpse animated and preserved by a paranormal creature that looks like a theatrical mask. The mask has root structures firmly burrowed into the host body that make it extremely difficult to remove, and there's no chance of reviving the host with mundane medicine if you did. This also means that it's essentially impossible to remove its helmet short of cutting it off in pieces, since the mask's roots are threaded through it. Most of the host body's organs either don't do anything or only function intermittently when the mask spurs them into motion, which also allows it to mostly ignore torso wounds. It's somewhat easier to injure something structural on it compared to a human being, but it can slowly heal injuries that would be permanent or fatal for humans, provided the parts are still connected to its body and mask. Its dexterity is rather lacking. I'm not sure what it eats, but the most likely answers are either 'it doesn't need to' or 'raw meat from creatures it hunts, plus whatever else it can find'.

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Well the reason it doesn't attack people like a normal Masked from its canon is because the one time in the past it tried to do that they basically melted without dying instead of the normal process of death and reanimation, which was much more horrifying for both parties, and now it's afraid of itself and afraid of that happening again if it tries. I'm not sure what specific triggers it might have ended up with from this experience. Certain forms of body horror, maybe. It's otherwise difficult to offend.

MAGNUS ARCHIVES FEAR ASSOCIATIONS: Corruption, Stranger, Flesh, Lonely, and some background noise of Hunt, Vast, and Slaughter underneath the major ones

OUT OF CHARACTER

BACKTAGGING: I'm entirely willing to pick up even months-old threads or start new ones on old starters and events, I love backtagging, but I'm going to want reassurance that you want to continue the thread if it's more than about three weeks old, or a bit less than that for game threads if it's attached to a previous event and/or its eligibility for AC just flipped over.

THREADHOPPING: Sure, unless they're in a game that doesn't allow it of course. Threadjacking is broadly fine but ask first.

FOURTHWALLING: Most forms of fourthwalling or things that are sometimes-but-not-always called fourthwalling (I'm not super clear on what does or doesn't count) are fine, although if you have something particularly off-the-wall in mind it's courteous to run it past me first. Actively trying to convince Jerry that it's a fictional character, in the event that your muse falls in the extremely specific cross-section of time period and interests to be familiar with Lethal Company in the first place, is something you're allowed to attempt but it's very unlikely to believe them and would have difficulty even grasping their point.

NOT INTERESTED IN: Smut, conventional shipping, long-term transformation either into a human or some other type of monster, AU games

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

VISUAL: Medium height to semi-tall (about 5'10" or 178 cm), wearing a sun-faded green hazmat suit, muddy workboots, and a blue belt bag made to look like it has a face with the zipper as the mouth. Has a dirty white ceramic-looking comedy mask attached to the front of its helmet with grime caked around the points where they touch but no other visible fastening method.
AURAL: Deep voice produced by the mask itself, wet congested noises produced by the host body, on the infrequent occasions that it speaks actual words both are involved in the process. Prone to chuckling and giggling to itself, which comes from the mask's voice.
OLFACTORY: Smells like stale blood and dirt. We're lucky it doesn't smell worse.
DEMEANOUR: Its vibes are kinda rancid. It has really ominous body language even when it means no harm.
